Funeral services for Orval W. Cox, 90, of Conroe will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Ernest Temple of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael A. Wright, Brent Wooten, Robert Cox, Gene Knight, Jimmy Cox, and Jerry Ferguson. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, 2004 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Cox was born on June 26, 1914 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and passed away on November 14, 2004 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country as an airplane mechanic in the U. S. Air Force. He was the owner of Conroe Wrecking Yard.
Orval's son, Robert Noah Cox, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alta Cox of Conroe; daughter, Linda O. Wright of Cut-N-Shoot; daughter-in-law, Patricia Cox of Willis; grandchildren, Michael A. Wright and wife Kim of Conroe, Douglas Cox of Huntsville, Carol Saez and husband Jose of Willis, and Robbin Diana Duke of Willis; great grandchildren, Robert Wayne Bell, Jessica Joyce Bell, Aaron Ray Duke, Stormy Diann Duke, Katy Ann Rickman, Payton Wright, Coy Wright, Amanda Cox, and Stoney Cox.
