Funeral services for Marjorie Louise Overstreet, 83, of Houston will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 1 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bill Posey officiating. Entombment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Mrs. Overstreet was born on December 3, 1920 in Chariton, Iowa to Ernest and Hazel Plows and passed away on November 17, 2004 in Houston, Texas. She served her country in the U. S. Army. She had a love of golf, bridge, and dancing. Her husband, Thomas E. Overstreet, preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Dr. Charles Plows of Santa Ana, California; daughters, Jo Anne Hagene Pickett of Wisconsin, Janet Burgess of Houston, and Joyce Trager of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher Medo, Meredith McArthur Thomas, Destry Cantril, Andrew Acuna, Kelsey and Michael Trager; and six great grandchildren, Grace, Bailey, Cade, David, Daniel, and Mellissa.
