Funeral services for Jean Olive, 77, of Houston and her daughter, Jamie George, 56, of Conroe will be held on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 10 a.m. in Mims Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Kendrick officiating. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, December 5, 2004 from 3 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Olive was born on December 12, 1926 in Chenoa, Illinois and passed away on November 23, 2004 in Barcelona, Spain while on vacation with her daughters. She served her country in the U. S. Army. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Thompson and husband Jim of Baytown; son, Jim Olive of Houston; grandchildren, David, Brian, Heather, and Jonathan George, and Jana and Jill Thompson; and great grandchild, Halie.
Mrs. George was born on February 5, 1948 in Houston, Texas and passed away on November 23, 2004 in Barcelona, Spain along with her mother. She was the owner of Heathers Glen Bed and Breakfast, a board member of the Salvation Army, former member of the Conroe Chamber of Commerce, an associate of the downtown restoration and revitalization committee, and a member of the art council. She is survived by her husband, Ed George of Conroe; daughter, Heather George of Conroe; sons, David George of Brenham, and Brian and Jonathan George, both of Conroe; sister, Sharon Thompson and husband Jim of Baytown; brother, Jim Olive of Houston; and grandchild, Halie George.
Pallbearers will be Jody Wolfe, Mike Uber, Larry Melton, Rodney Pool, Doug Byfield, Dereck Frische, Frank Schaefer, Richard Pasley, Don Campbell, Chris Rodriguez, Garland Austin, Robert Ruffin, Harry Hargis, Dave DiLauro, Urbano Carrillo, and Jerry Futch.
