Funeral services for Geraldine Hickman, 82, of Smithville will be held on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jack Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 16, 2005 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hickman was born on February 7, 1922 in Conroe, Texas and passed away on January 13, 2005 in Smithville, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Portland, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Duma Strickland Yawn; husband, Wade Hickman; son, Gerald Wade Hickman; brothers, Clarence Yawn Jr., Billy Wayne Yawn and wife Florence, and John Kenneth Yawn; and sisters, Mary Curtis Young, Louise Botkin, Nora Annette Weaver, and Gladys Fay (Pat) Mitchell. She is survived by her daughters, Wadine Keltner and fiancé Timothy J. Sedman of Smithville, and Darlene Hickman and fiancé Eddie Prather of Dallas; sister, Beverly Knowlton and fiancé Henry Lewis of Cleveland; brothers, Cercy Yawn and wife Mary Helen and Charles Wade Yawn and wife Vicki, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ronald Wade Altman and wife Alicia, Travis Wade Keltner, Adam Altman, Alan Altman, Matthew Hickman, and Jody Lynn Hickman; great grandchildren, Andrew Wade Altman and Avery Rebecca Altman; lifelong friend, Jane Rhule; and a host of other loving extended family and friends also survive.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Wade Altman, Travis Wade Keltner, Adam Altman, Alan Altman, Paul Dunlap and Frank Dunlap. Honorary pallbearers are Cercy Yawn, Charles Wade Yawn, Timothy J. Sedman, Eddie Prather, Henry Lewis, and John Weaver.
