A memorial service for Lucille Collins, 87, will be held on Friday, January 28, 2005 at 1 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Chaplain Tim Byrd officiating.
Mrs. Collins was born on October 17, 1917 in Columbus, Texas and passed away on January 23, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. She was wed to Buford M. Collins in February 1941 and they were happily married for 38 years. She and Buford worked together for 22 years at Collins Vacuum Truck, an oilfield service company located in Conroe. Lucille was also a Conroe Hospital Volunteer for over 15 years. She was strong willed, independent, very outgoing and loved to be with people.
Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ann Schoellman Potter; husband, Buford Collins; and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Ken Collins and wife Kathy of Conroe; granddaughter, Keely (Collins) Stanko and husband Dennis of San Antonio; grandson, Sgt. Todd Collins (USMC) based in San Antonio; sister, Dorothy Chenault of Bellville. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends throughout Texas also survive.
Lucille will be missed very much by all who knew her.
