Funeral services for James Fletcher Hughes, 50, of River Plantation in Conroe will be held on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Brother Moody Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh and Stephan Darnell, Nathaniel and Blaze Hughes, Chance Wright, Branden and Travis Hunter, and Toy Leach. Mr. Hughes was born on April 27, 1954 in Pecos, Texas to James and Sallie Hughes and went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2005 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
James is survived by his son, Cimarron Fletcher Hughes and wife Michelle of Mannford, Oklahoma; parents, James and Sallie Hughes of Conroe; sisters, Janet Wright of Arlington, and Beverly Darnell and husband Carl of Conroe; brother, Blake Hughes of Roanoke, Virginia; nieces and nephews, Josh and Stephan Darnell of Conroe, Chance and Rachel Wright of Arlington, Nathaniel, Blaze, Anastasia, Haniya, and Noelani Hughes of Roanoke, Virginia. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
