Funeral services for Lawrence L. Stachowiak, Sr., 89, of Conroe will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
Mr. Stachowiak was born on September 9, 1915 in Marlin, Texas and passed away on March 13, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. He served honorably in the U. S. Army during WWII. He and his wife, Neoma, raised their family in the Houston area where he worked as a carpenter building Cooling Towers and later as a carpenter for Krieter Gear. They moved to Conroe, where he retired in 1980.
Lawrence's parents, John B. and Willie Mae Lucas Stachowiak; brothers, Leonard, Eugene, and John B. Stachowiak Jr.; and sisters, Verna Kasmoroski, Pauline Calhoun, Beulah Greensage, and Lucille Jones all preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Neoma McAlpine Stachowiak of Conroe; daughters, Barbara Jean Whitehead of Montgomery, Linda Jane Porter of Conroe, and Darlene Kay Rogers of Buckner, AR; son, Lawrence L. Stachowiak, Jr. of Crosby; and sisters, Doris Beilamowicz and Eloise Beil both of Houston. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends also survive.
