Funeral services for Josh Moon Flynt, 84, of Conroe will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Groceville Baptist Church with Dr. James Mantooth officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, 2005 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Josh was born on December 3, 1920 in Iola, Texas to Josh Mitchell and Catherine Blount Flynt. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Josh met Mildred Jones on February 14, 1946 and they married on June 28, 1946. They retired and moved to Cut-n-Shoot, Texas in December 1980. Josh was a longtime deacon of Groceville Baptist Church in Groceville, Texas. He loved to travel, but his greatest loves were witnessing for the Lord and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred Florence Flynt. He is survived by his sons, Gene Flynt and wife Yvonne, and Raymond Flynt and wife Darla; brother, Robert Lane Flynt and wife Juanita; grandchildren, Kenny Stratton, James Flynt, Tammy Stratton, Darla Wischnewsky, Shaina Flynt, Josh Flynt, Heather Kruckemeyer, Eden Reynolds, Brodie Reynolds; great grandchildren, Sable Stratton, Johnathan Lopez, Matthew Lopez, Devin Stratton, Kaitlyn Flynt, Tyler Lopez, Chesney Wischnewsky, Mason Flynt, Jeffrey Wischnewsky, Victoria Greenaway, and Austin Flynt. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Josh was a wonderful man who will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
