Donald F. Merrill
June 8, 1923 - April 9, 2005



Funeral services for Donald F. Merrill, 81, of Montgomery, will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wed., April 13, 2005 in Cashner Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Dowen Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel in the Park Mausoleum. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2005 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.

Mr. Merrill was born June 8, 1923 in Galesburg, IL and passed away April 9, 2005 in Montgomery, TX. He retired after 40 years with Burlington Northern Railroad, was a Mason, and an avid golfer at April Sound, where he resided. He served in the U.S. Army branch of service during World War II.

Donald is survived by his wife, Mary Merrill of April Sound; daughter, Janice Lotspeich and husband Mark of Todd, NC; sons, Bruce Merrill and wife, Becky of Lincoln, NE, David Merrill and wife Kerry of Oswego, IL and Jim Merrill and wife Connie of Conroe, TX; sister, Dorothy Freed of State College, PA; grandchildren, Daniel Lotspiech, Brett Lotspiech, Julie Clark, Jennifer Merrill, Michael Merrill, Joel Merrill Carrie Snyder and Cary Goines; great grandchildren, Alyffa & Lauren Lotspiech, Thomas Lotspiech, Joseph Merrill, Jake, Megan Snyder. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Lighthouse Hospice, 932 W. Main St., Tomball, TX 77375, or April Sound Church, 67 1/2 April Wind Dr. S, Montgomery, TX 77356.
