A memorial service for Dewitt Dee Cravens, 75, of Willis will be held on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 3 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Beverly Tune and Rev. Rod Kotenbrink officiating.
Mr. Cravens was born on March 10, 1930 in Cumby, Texas and passed away on April 14, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the National Guard. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Conroe.
Dee's parents, Charley and Brooksy Vaughn Cravens; daughter, Laura Jan Gill; son, Charles Craig Pete Cravens; and sister, Georgia May Davis all preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Cravens of Willis; daughters, Rhonda Blaschke and husband Patrick of New Caney and Christy Bunton; sons, Joseph Dewitt Cravens and wife Jacquelyn of Cut-n-Shoot, Mickey Vann and wife Cathi of Baytown, Christopher Gill of Fernandina Beach, Florida, James Gill of Azle, and Shane Bryant-Cravens of Conroe; sisters, Nita Herman and husband Ben of Cumby, and Mary Casey and husband Leland of Commerce; grandchildren, Megan Cravens, Zakry Cravens, Nathan Gill, Kelsey Gill, Brandi Gill, Joshua Gill, Scott Gill, Todd Vann, Chelsea Barton and husband Tim, Heather and Amanda Reed, Matthew, Chelsea, Jeremy, Christi, and Josh Cravens; great grandchildren, Delaney Vann and Kyle Gill. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
