On June 14, 2005, we lost a dear soul that has enriched our lives and the lives of many others for the last 56 years. Mary Elizabeth Hall Perkins, born March 29, 1949 in Conroe, TX, passed away in Austin, TX after a prolonged illness. She enlightened so many lives with her 20 years of teaching English and Journalism at Conroe High School in Conroe, TX. Mary Beth dedicated many years of her life to the realms of education, and enriched it with her many idealisms and gifted ways of teaching. Along with her smile, character, and great cooking, she will be truly missed, and never forgotten.
She leaves in everyone that ever had the privilege of meeting her a little piece of all of the splendor and charisma that carried her soul so highly. Even in death, she will be with us always.
Mary is survived by her mother, Nancy Beth Hall, her two sons Taylor and Zachary, her brother John Henry Hall, and his two daughters Lauren and Sarah Hall.
How do we mourn the death of a loved one? Even ones we have not known long. These people touch our souls only for a short time, and yet we feel a great loss. The reason is our souls are touched by these people and our souls do not record time; they merely record growth.
