Walter Josef Fruhman, 84, passed away peacefully June 6, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. Born February 27, 1921, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Walter raised a family in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and retired to Charlotte, North Carolina before moving to Willis, Texas to be near his children.
He is survived by his wife Mildred (need Guenther); daughters, Lynn Wilbur, Nancy Fruhman and Sandy Fruhman Hoard; son-in-law, Dennis Hoard; two grandchildren, David and Nicole Wilbur; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Arthur Fruhman and his wife Angeline.
Walter served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy as a dive-bomber pilot and flight trainer during WWII. A memorial service will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive on Monday, June 27, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Military honors will follow.
