Funeral services for Charles Gilmo Gilstrap, 56, of Conroe will be held on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 3 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Terry Worthan officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2005 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be James Andrukitis, Harry Rogers, Kevin Rushing, Ed Sandlin, Al Valeri, and Mazi Vaziri.
Mr. Gilstrap was born on November 24, 1948 in Douglasville, Georgia and passed away on September 3, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. He was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing and BBQ cookoffs.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Jackie Prater and husband Kevin of Conroe and Jennifer Acreman and husband Brian of Navasota; son, Jason Gilstrap and wife Tina of Montgomery; mother, Lucille Hudson of Cummings, Georgia; sisters, Patsy Worthan and husband Terry of Winston, Georgia, Wanda Purcell and husband Johnny of Cummings, Georgia, and Lynn Croft of Douglasville, Georgia; brother, Freddie Gilstrap of Cummings, Georgia; grandchildren, Jarrod and Brandon Prater, Brett and Trey Acreman, and Hanna Gilstrap. A host of other loving extended family and friends also survive.
