Eddy Florence Seydler Anderson, 91, passed away October 3, 2005. She was a faithful Christian and a longtime member of Willis First United Methodist Church.
Through the years, Florence graciously opened her lovely home to many church activities. She served her church in many ways, serving at one time as president of the UMW.
Florence was born in Houston, TX on February 9, 1914, to Anna Warnken Seydler and Alfred W. Seydler. She was a graduate of the original Sam Houston High School, class of 31. She often shared her memories of those happy high school days and the many friends she enjoyed during those years. She married Archie Anderson in January of 1934. They went to live on the Anderson family farm and there they raised their family. They shared joys and sorrows for 60 years and left their children with a legacy of courage and strength.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dr. Alfred Seydler, her sister, Erna Seydler Kirk and her beloved husband of 60 years, Archie Anderson, She is survived by her children, Archie Raymond Anderson, Jr., Linda Anderson Auld and husband Roy; grandchildren, Kristin Raica and husband Tony, Brian Auld, Susan Tollett and husband Mike, Leah Wimberly and husband Brad, Eric Anderson, Lisa Kuhl and husband Chris; Great grandchildren, Ryan and Riley Holliday, Jacob, Grayson and Parker Auld, Cameron, Cole and Conner Tollett, Madison Anderson, Kristen and John Kuhl; Nephew, Billy Kirk and wife Joy and their children and grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Conroe Health Care Center and Conroe Regional Hospital and the many caregivers who cared so lovingly for her in her last months. The family also would like to thank Vera Mae Williams who cared for our dear mother for many years.
