Maria Elisa Sanchez, 83, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2005, at her Longmont, Colorado home. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 27, 2005 at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas between 5:00 and 9:00 pm. Graveside Services will be held Friday, October 28, 2005 at 10:00 am at Garden Park Cemetery next to Cashner Funeral Home.
Maria was born in Monterrey, Mexico, December 14, 1921, to Sabas and Apolonia Palomo, and lived in Mexico, Texas and Colorado. Maria was married to Mario Sanchez in 1943 in Mexico and he preceeded her in death in 1992. Maria dearly loved her family, her many friends and her home in Conroe, Texas.
Maria is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mario and Martha Sanchez from Houston, TX; son and daughter-in-law, John and Pam Sanchez from Rapid City, SD; son, Jesse Sanchez from Longmont, CO; son, Manuel Sanchez from Kingwood, TX; Daughter and son-in-law, Mark and Ana Sochia from Liverpool, NY; daughter and son-in-law Ray and Rosa Ferguson from Whitehouse, TX; daughter and son-in-law Tom and Elisa Graham from Seattle, WA; daughter and son-in-law Phillip and Martha Peterson from Longmont, CO. Son, Joseph W. Sanchez preceeded her in death in 1995. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren as follows: Christine Morgan, Victoria Bolding, David Tidwell, Joseph Sanchez, Heidi Sanchez, Gabriela Upham, Louis Ramirez, Nicolas Ramirez, Robert Green, Natalie Ferguson, Shawn Ferguson, Kevin Ferguson, Ashley Peterson, Phillip Peterson, Marye Peterson, Jonathan Sanchez, Joshua Sanchez, Elijah Sanchez, Andrew Sanchez, Lilly Sanchez, Christian Sanchez and Hannah Sanchez. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren as follows: Jacob, Victoria and Olivia Morgan; Zachary and Joshua Bolding; Crysta, Jonathan, Michaela, Andrea and Benjamin Upham; Eleanor Ramirez; and Elise Sanchez. Maria is also survived by brothers, Emilio, Isabel, Oscar, Manuel and Guadalupe Palomo and sister, Aurora Palomo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome and contributions may be made to the Hospice Care of Boulder County, CO. Their loving care was very much appreciated by all of Maria Sanchezs family.
