Lucy Elizabeth Jackson Barron completed her earthly journey at her home in Austin, Texas, on November 26, 2005. She is survived by sons, Gary OBrien Barron and daughter-in-law Jeanine, and Jim Barron and daughter-in-law Brenda, and her daughter, Mary Beth and son-in-law Phil Soehl. Other family members include six grandsons, a granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Her devoted husband and best friend, Champ Barron, and her son, Wesley Barron, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barron was born in Henrietta, Texas on July 30, 1917. She married Champ W. Barron on December 24, 1937, and enjoyed a full and enriched life living throughout Texas in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and Panorama Village. As a couple, the two loved traveling, camping, playing golf, dominoes and card games. A witness of their love and devotion can be seen in their children, grandchildren, and faithful friends. She especially enjoyed playing Bridge and Hot Rum with friends and family, and traveling on casino trips with senior groups.
Interment will be at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe on December 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow in Cashner Colonial Chapel at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive visitors on December 2, 2005, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
