Mr. Etherton was born on December 10, 1923 in Osbornville, Illinois and went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2005 in Conroe, Texas.
Joseph served his country in the U. S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of the VFW in Conroe and a member of the NRA.
Joseph's son Ricky Etherton and grandchildren, Kimberly Jo Mills and Tracey Earl Fadeley, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Etherton of Conroe; daughters, Micki Mills and husband Billy Ray of Conroe, and Vicki Fadeley and husband Albert of Gallatin, Tennessee; son, Dennis Earl Etherton and wife Anneliese of Argyle; grandchildren, Casey Mills, Kelly Etherton, James Etherton, Bobby Fadeley, and Byron Fadeley; great grandchildren, Joanna Fadeley, Joshua Fadeley, and Dakota Fadeley. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Joseph Earl Etherton, 81, of Conroe will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 1:15 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery Chapel with his nephew, Mr. Paul Etherton, officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 12, 2005 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
