Funeral services for Tommy Lee Gleason, Sr., of Montgomery will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 10 a.m. in April Sound Church with Rev. Dowen Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 26, 2005 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Gleason was born on June 4, 1921 in Eskridge, Kansas and passed away on December 21, 2005 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Army Air Corp during WWII. Most of his life has been dedicated to the telecommunications industry. He built KAWL radio station in York, Nebraska and he founded Galaxy Cablevision in Sikeston, Missouri in 1979.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Gleason of Montgomery; daughter, Nancy Christy and husband David of Montgomery; sons, Tommy L. Gleason and wife Carol and James M. Gleason and wife Stephanie, all of Sikeston, Missouri; brother, Ted Gleason and wife Pauline of Junction City, Kansas; grandchildren, Ellen, Sarah, and Neal Christy, Aaron Gleason and wife Brenda, Suzanne Baros and husband John, Sam Gleason, Mary-Claire Gleason, and Caroline Gleason; great grandchildren, Katelyn Baros, Justin Baros, and Carter Gleason. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers: Aaron Gleason, David Christy, Keith Davidson, Mark Anderson, Steven Naccarato, and Ron Voss.
