Wallace Leroy Rairigh was born on February 14, 1921, to Floyd and Pearl Rairigh in Alvin, Texas. He graduated from Alvin High School in 1937. After serving in the Air Force during World War II, he returned to Texas. He earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Houston in 1948. He went to work for the Annin Valve Company and eventually became the regional sales manager for Masoneilan International. After retiring from that job, he worked many years for Collin Instruments in Angleton.
Wallace is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Hazel, sister, Joann Rairigh of Tyler, daughters, Beverly Bailey and husband Dan of Beaumont, Barbara Hammond and husband, Barry of Dallas, Kathy Moore and husband Jack of Conroe and son, Jim Rairigh and wife Sherri of Houston. His grandchildren are Jimmy Rairigh, Leah Goodwin, Nathan Moore, Michelle Jackson and Danielle Pomirko. He also had four great-grandchildren, Braydon, Collin and Kyndal Pomirko and Brock Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Cashner Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Cashner Funeral Home.
