Funeral services for Dominick DeGangi, 90, of Spring will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 3 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Father Chris Allen officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2006 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Houston National Cemetery.
Mr. DeGangi was born on September 15, 1915 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and passed away on February 9, 2006 in The Woodlands, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII.
Dominick was a trumpet player all his life and played with the Baltimore Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Miami Philharmonic, Tommy Dorsey Band, on Broadway, and on the Jackie Gleason Show.
Dominick is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lucile DeGangi of Spring; children, Nelson DeGangi of Beltsville, Maryland, Georgia Dickey of Kensington, Maryland, Steven DeGangi of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Lea Ann Jordan of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Rachel and Chelsea Jordan; and sister, Lillian Nicoli Colwyn of Pennsylvania.
