Bobby Carl Tacker of Montgomery, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2006. Bob was born on July 21, 1922 in Mexia, Texas.
Bob made a living buying and selling cars and worked for Knapp Chevrolet before starting his own dealerships. In 1968, he bought the Ford Dealership in Marlin, Texas. He decided he could not leave his roots and moved back to Houston and opened up the Subaru Dealership in Bellaire. In 1982, he wanted to be closer to his home in Montgomery and opened up a Foreign Car Parts and Service in Conroe. Bob was forced to close his business because of his health problems. Even though cars were Bobs first passion he relaxed by going fishing. He loved having a lake in his own back yard. He managed to raise a few cows for his own pleasure too. Bob kept busy with his family and friends. We will miss him dearly.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Marie Tacker; his sons, Bobby Tacker and wife Betty and Russell Tacker and wife Pam; daughter, Sissy Rushing and husband Mike. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Bret Tacker and wife Lisa, Greg Tacker and wife Donna, Laura vonGontard and husband Andy, Allison Golden and husband Johnny, Tai Tacker, Taj Stowe, Niki Tacker, and Kati Tacker. He leaves behind four great grandchildren, Austin and Cody Tacker, Hunter and Grant vonGontard, and one great grandchild due in October. Bob is also survived by his sister, Sue Nell Baker, and two sister-in-laws, Vivan Tacker and Thera Mae Tacker. He leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and many, many friends.
