Our beloved Mother, Linda Marie Wythe, lost her battle with cancer and was called home by our heavenly Father on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the age of 79. She passed away peacefully at home in Conroe surrounded by her loving family.
Linda provided the strength and love that bound her family together for more than 50 years. She loved and completely devoted her life to each and every opportunity to be with her family. Her many friends and acquaintances held a significant place in her heart. She was the most caring and loving spirit to have ever graced our planet and no one woman will ever be missed more by those who knew and loved her.
She was born in Oklahoma on May 23, 1926 and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She traveled with her husband of 48 years, J. W. Wythe, and children, finally settling in Lufkin, Texas in 1963. She resided there until the death of her husband in 1994 when she moved to Conroe, Texas to change careers from domestic engineer to managerial consultant for her daughter and son-in-laws Real Estate-Construction office at 2710 FM 1488 for the past 10 years.
She is survived by daughters, Jean Etie and husband Tommy Etie of Conroe, and Mona Hughes and husband Ronnie of Austin, Texas; sons, Jimmy Wythe of Conroe and Ralph and wife Patti of Covington, Washington; grandchildren, Dawn Woodall and husband Ray, Donovan Hughes and wife Lavon, Chuck, Brian, Shelly, Jamie, Alessa, Angel Wythe and eight great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Lighthouse Hospice staff of Tomball for their loving care and tender guidance during our Mothers battle. Please join us in celebrating Mothers life by attending our Memorial Service on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Chaplain Judy Forsman officiating.
