Funeral services for Jo Merle Trout, 52, of Willis will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 10 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Willis with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 24, 2006 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Trout was born on October 5, 1953 in St. Joseph, Missouri and when to be with the Lord on March 22, 2006 in Conroe, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Willis and was the organist there for 15 years.
Jo's joy was her daughter, Amanda, and her pleasure was working with the youth at the church. Jo worked on many, many committees and functions at the church. Her unconditional desire was to help people, even during her battle with cancer.
Jo was loved and cherished by everyone whose life she touched. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Al Trout of Willis; daughter, Amanda Jo Trout of Willis; parents, Thomas Otho Pitts Sr. and Dora Dean Pitts of Dekalb, Missouri; sister, Elizabeth Dotson and husband Deane of Cape Coral, Florida; brothers, Everett Pitts and wife Teresa of Columbus, Ohio and Thomas Otho Pitts Jr. and wife Nancy of St. Joseph, Missouri. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
Pallbearers are Tommy Pitts, Everett Pitts, Tyson Dotson, John Trout, Hal Trout, and Todd Trout.
