She attended school in Stamford, Texas. She married S. B. McLemore in 1939. He lost his life in the military in May, 1945. She attended Business School in Abilene, Texas and then came to Spur where she became employed by Dunlaps Department Store. She was now a widow with 2 children to raise. They moved to Denver City, Texas in 1954. Frances was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. They owned and operated Kizer Insurance Agency in Denver City for 20 years. She became a licensed insurance agent during this time. In 1980, they retired and moved to Conroe (Panorama). She loved her yard, sewing, doing volunteer work, playing bridge, her grandchildren and greats. She was a member of Longmire Church of Christ.

Her first husband, S. B. “Buck” McLemore; beloved son, Robert L. Kizer; parents, R.C. and Ina Mae Jones; and brother, Alvin Jones, all preceded her in death. She is survived by her wonderful husband of 57 years, W. L. “Pete” Kizer; son, Mike McLemore and wife Patsy; daughter, Carol Dossey and husband Jerry, all of the preceding being residents of Conroe; special grandchildren, Kent and Greg McLemore, Tina Curtis, Kelly Dossey, and Christel D.
