Funeral services for Leah Fultz Wells, 71, of Conroe will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Cashner Colonial Chapel with interment to follow in Copeland Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Charles Walton and Dr. W. C. Buddy Burns officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm
Leah was born in Conroe, Texas on November 10, 1934 to Milton and Nannie Mathews Fultz, and died at home on June 18, 2006. Before retirement, she was employed by C.I.S.D. as a teacher and a counselor for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her younger son, Russell Dean Wells. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Wells of Conroe; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mary Wells of Houston; daughter-in-law, Annette Wells of Plano; three grandchildren, Gina Wells Patschke and husband Jason of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kirt Wells of Cypress, and Emily Wells of Plano; great grandson, Gage Patschke. Also surviving are her sister, Margaret Francis and husband Don of Conroe, and an uncle, L.D. Fultz of Conroe. Numerous other relatives and friends survive as well.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Brain and Spine Center in care of Dr. Mark Gilbert, 1515 Holcomb Blvd, Suite 411, Houston, TX. , 77030-4009.
